ARRA-Funded Programs Coming Soon!

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the State Energy Office is receiving additional funding from the Department of Energy. Facility Conservation Improvement Program (FCIP)

The FCIP is a streamlined program, administered by the State Energy Office at the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC), that enables public agencies (state, municipalities, counties, and schools) to use energy savings performance contracting to access financing for energy efficiency and conservation projects. Tax-exempt financing with a low interest rate makes projects more economical and reduces the pay-back period. Click here for more information on FCIP.

Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program

Funded through the U.S. Department of Energy and the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, this program provides housing improvements that increase energy efficiency in income-eligible, single- or multi-family dwellings, including manufactured homes.

Kansas Low Income Energy Assistance Program

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a federally funded program. It helps eligible households pay a portion of their energy bills by providing a one-time per year benefit (paid directly to the utility).
