Kansas Corporation Commission Launches E-filing Express

Topeka, KS - Today, the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC or Commission) launched e-filing Express, a one-stop shop for e-docket filings. This new system allows for utilities, consumers, and attorneys to file documents electronically without the need to file paper copies. Approximately 8,500 paper documents are filed with the Commission on an annual basis. This new system allows for those same paper filings to be filed electronically through a secure online portal.

"E-Filling Express will streamline the filing of documents and provide a more efficient and convenient way for our customers to do business with the Commission. It will also cut down on the amount of paper and cost associated with business transactions. I applaud our staff and the stakeholders who developed this new system," stated Kim Christiansen, Executive Director.
In order to use E-Filing Express, customers are required to create an account and follow the Terms of Use. Electronic filing is not required. Paper documents may be filed pursuant to the Commission's formal rules at K.A.R. 82-1-202 et seq. E-Filing Express is available at https://puc.kcc.ks.gov/e-filing/e-express/.
