KCC names new Energy Division Director
The Kansas Corporation Commission has appointed Ray Hammarlund as Energy Division Director.
Hammarlund, 44, most recently served in the Kansas Department of Commerce as Director of Agriculture Marketing and Community Development. He also was the agency's liaison to the Kansas Small Business Development Center and Network Kansas (Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship). In addition, he was the Department of Commerce designee to the Kansas Water Authority and the Kansas State Fair board.
"Ray brings a wealth of community and collaborative experience, along with a background in several energy related fields. He will be an asset as we continue to bring the many stakeholders together in the common pursuit of Kansas' multifaceted energy challenge," said KCC Executive Director Susan Duffy.
Hammarlund received a master in Business Administration from Baker University in 2004, a master in Agribusiness from Kansas State University in 2001, and a bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Economics and Agriculture Mechanization from KSU in 1988.
